Her Business Story: Alexandra Lunn, Founder of Alexandra Lunn Studio

Here at a League of Her Own we had the pleasure of interviewing Alexandra Lunn, the female founder behind Alexandra Lunn Studio.(Graphic Design) founded in 2015.

Alexandra tell us more about your business, Alexandra Lunn Studio?

I combine conceptual thinking with technical skill to arrive at unique solutions for clients who wish to communicate to a luxury market. I also work with start ups and social enterprises to get their ideas off the ground and visible to a wider audience. 

What made you decide to become an entrepreneur? 

I love the direct relationship with clients; specifically, listening and learning about their different cultural backgrounds and why they do what they  do. I research extensively every project that I undertake to learn and understand my clients’ businesses or other activities. 

How long did it take for you to put your idea into action? What prompted you to act? 

It took me two months. 

What has been your scariest moment as an entrepreneur? 

Having to pay for my mistakes and then reflecting on how expensive it will be when there is thousands of pounds involved. This is scary but it adds to the excitement. 

What has been your proudest moment at Alexandra Lunn Studio?  

Now. Things are going well and I know where and how I want to take things forward.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned from founding your own company? 

 People only value you as much as you value yourself. 

What does success mean to you? 

Focusing only on the positives. Financial security, having an interesting portfolio, being in control over work.  

Which women inspire you? 

Melanie Eusebe,  Maya Angelou, Michelle Obama, Madonna, Coco Chanel, My grandmother Veronika Makowska.

And which men? 

Udo Stadtsbuchler, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King.  

What’s the best piece of business advice someone has ever given you?
