Today on ‘Her Business Story’ we meet Amanda Smith who is the founder of the blog Worth More Than Gold and also runs her own Rodan & Fields business. Amanda shared her entrepreneurial story with A League of Her Own.
What made you decide to become an entrepreneur?
I saw an opportunity with Rodan+Fields to be my own boss and make my own money.
What has been your scariest moment as an entrepreneur?
Being judged or scared by other people!
What has been your proudest moment?
When I brought 3 people on my team in 1 month. Also, a team member told me that she was so thankful for my persistence because she NEEDED this business.
What is the biggest lesson you have learned from founding your own company?
I have learned a lot and grown as a leader and become someone who takes charge. I have learned that it is better to be professional that let someone know you are right 🙂
What does success mean to you?
Success means changing lives.
Which women inspire you?
Jenna Kutcher (photographer in WI), a top leader in our company that started this business with $39 in her bank account, and my mom and sister 🙂

Bob Heilig, and my husband.
What one thing do you wish someone had told you when you first started out?
Take your time, give yourself grace, and don’t leave your friends and family stranded.
